Binaural Beats
A binaural beat appears when each ear hears a slightly different frequency: the brain perceives the difference as a slow pulse. We measure the left and right channels of every binaural track and publish the beat we found — if the label says 8 Hz theta, that is what is in the file.

Do I need headphones for binaural beats?
Yes. The beat is created by the difference between your ears, so each ear must receive its own channel. Speakers blend the channels and the effect largely disappears.
